OmniDev SmartCar V1

What it is used for

Programmable rover with obstacle avoidance, line following and wireless control. Planned contents: ESP32, 2WD chassis and geared motors, motor driver, ultrasonic and line sensors, protected battery system and mounting hardware.

Prototype an automated response to a sensor input, such as moving a mechanism, signaling a state, or controlling a small low-voltage load.

Projects and applications

Examples include a moisture-triggered watering demonstration, motion alert, timed indicator, or joystick-controlled mechanism. Confirm that the controller, sensor, switching stage, and load all match before assembly.

Before choosing it, write down the project goal, expected environment, operating voltage, current demand, physical dimensions, required controller or driver, and any software or accessories needed.

Getting started

Map the signal and power path before building: sensor or control input, controller, driver or switching stage, load, and power source. Verify electrical ratings, fail-safe behavior, enclosure, and the effect of a disconnected sensor.

Available product specification

What to check before use

  • Use a driver or relay rated for the load; never route a motor or high-current device through a GPIO pin.
  • Keep mains voltage out of hobby prototype wiring; use qualified professionals for mains installations.
  • Test failure cases and provide a manual stop or disconnect before operating moving or powered loads.

Specifications and package contents can vary by model or supplier batch. Confirm the exact variant, datasheet, wiring diagram, and manufacturer instructions supplied with your item. If a rating or pinout is unclear, ask a qualified instructor or technician before powering it.
